Archery is one of the oldest sports still practiced today. Bows and arrows can be traced associated with Upper Paleolithic (35,000 to 8000 BC), and is the most widely used weapon in human history.

Although there is recorded evidence of archery contest held in China over 3000 years ago, modern sports archery most likely originated in England during the 14th century.

During this time, the longbow was considered the most important weapon in the British army. This is mainly due to long distance capabilities, such as swords and spears of people who do not have.

In fact, archery has become so important in England during that time a royal decree of 1363 requires each of English to practice archery on Sundays and holidays, if they want to or not.

During this period there are several different styles of movies, some of which developed into what we see today in sports archery.
